Ah... Summer!

The beach calls

The sand whispers

Mother Ocean dark and deep

Soothes while

Life abounds inside

And all around her

Herons stand quietly, silently

Pelicans squawk and dive

For their next meal

The sounds, the heat

The cool breezes call

Far away from the beach

Away from the Ocean

I still bask in the Sun

Warming my heart and body

Slowing me down

From the fast pace of city life

While I age, I am

Thrilled to have

Open space and time

More than ever before

Until now

Ecstasy

Learning to listen

Learning calmness

Learning that fast movement

Is only one state of being

I find Mother Earth and Ocean

Father Sky and breezes

Beings all around us still in

Shades of summer

Underground, underwater

Up above

Bird songs bringing

Deep Mystery and beauty

I also love the joy, freedom

And coolness of electricity

Without sweating the small stuff

Bliss, actually

Silver Threads

Silver sands

Silver shadows

Silver dust

Silver shells

Silver moon

Sitting in the sunlight

The family stretched out

Like cats around the room

Outdoors, the ocean calls

Bright shining sun

Warming our hearts

Our souls, penetrating us

With beams of light

Rays of hope

Water, sun, fire, air

Mother Earth

Elemental essentials

For growth

Overjoyed by abundance

Distressed by drought

Too much or too little

Dismay and possible death

Hurricanes, tornadoes,

Storm surges, flooding

Wild fires, earthquakes
Skin cancers, wars

The sun consistently parts

The clouds

Requesting belief and trust

How can what we need

Also, hurt us so badly?

Just true, it can

How can so many fabulous

Aspects of life be dangerous

When too much or too little is

Consumed or shared with us?

We, the tiny grains of sand on

This elaborate, enchanting earth

Designed by the Source

Maybe Divine, maybe Mystery

Maybe Quantum Physics

Surely Magic

We say: Flow with it

We say: Watch out, don’t get burned

We starve, we thirst, we consume

What is enough?

What is too much?

How do we decide

Or, rather, is much

Decided for us?

Silver threads linking

Us all together

A wondrous web of jewels

A tangle of hearts

A mosaic of minds

No wonder we battle at times

No wonder we love even more

Weaving our energetic beings

One to the other

We know surely as one part

Changes, so does another

And another and another

The rippling ideas, tantalizing tides

Alluring air currents between and

Around us like mesh, foam

Feelings of every sort

Shared between

Graceful, ghastly

Gawky and glorious

All at the same time

This is our earthly home

For now

Stardust always

Transfiguration

Turning green again

Turning toward the teacher

Turning toward the breast

Instinct

Nurturance

Learning

Remembering

(Or not)

The seed needs to be planted
We need grounding in fertile, rich

Dark soil, the stem growing and

Pushing up, flowing up

Toward the light

Plants, animals, fish, birds and we

Know how to grow even when

Tragedy strikes

We migrate, we stand tall

We fall down to our knees

Then, a sudden brightness appears

Transfiguration

The sun, rain, breezes

Plants, trees, and the mycelium network

Support our journeys

All we experience affects us and how

We move toward blooming and feeling

Our blooms sometimes blocked

For a time

At times, a second blooming

And then, when our bloom season is done

Our leaves, petals or fruit fall to the ground

Not in sorrow but just because

We may hibernate during the dark winters

Then later on, feel the tug to grow again

When Mother Earth and the Great Mystery

Tell us it is time

Blessed Be!

Merge, Molt, Emerge

Cramming my head into the

Rotted out trunk of a tree

Trying to rid the skin

Still attached to my bones

Shedding flesh

Stopping midstream

Hanging onto the past instead of

Surrendering to new blood, new life

What stops me?

I have loved the merge

Between Mother and Child

Between partners and friends

Merging, immersed into the

Oneness of All

Now I want to separate from

The Merge into more freedom

More independence

More autonomous, more alone

Don’t know how or where - yet

Emerging continues in process

My head crashing through the waves

Trying to enter the bliss of

Oneness once again

Without leaving the merge

Between me and Goddess

Between Spirit and Self

Emerging hanging onto the

Old me and entering the new me

Frightening and scary

Is this purgatory amongst the living?

Limbo, on hold, muted and

Soundless though I want to speak

Loudly and forcefully once again?

Maybe in this emergent Self, I am

Becoming is quieter, kinder

Less busy, more still

I don’t know her well yet

Who are you, new Self?

Me?

Why I am the calm between the storms

I am the princess of peace and

The grounded bodhisattva

I am you who sits quietly under

The Magnolia tree

Looking up into her overarching

Branches, seeing hope and light

Me?

I am you, a different part of you

Who is content to be part of

The One

No longer needing the spotlight

So much of the time

Me?
I am your higher self

The tiny old shepherdess

Who gave you her staff

Who gave you the white Lamb

I am the one who trusts

Without anxiety or fear

The one who sees clearly, softly

Not challenging what is

But becoming more aligned with

What is

I am the elder who whispers

Into your ear, telling you to

Breathe, to relax

No need to worry or strain

No need to become

Consumed or obsessed

I am you

We are one

We are merging

Molting

Emerging

Altogether, all at once

Complete

At peace

Blessed

Peace When There is No Peace

Utter madness

Sanctimonious and ominous

Green with greed

Malicious, malignant destruction

Those who want to rule the world

Those who cannot be halted by

Mere individuals and prayer

Continue to dig graves for

Those others who are so willing

To believe in one way, one person

One opinion

Fake news and False prophets

Those less mad

Join hands and suffer

Feeling helpless, hopeless

Angry and sad

Unable to use our energies

Our brute strength, our votes

And our spirits to rid the world

Of this virulent cancer

Not yet

We crawl into holes in the sand

Not being able to breathe

Underneath unstable, shifting particles

Blowing over and around us

We scream, we wail

We denounce all the unfairnesses

The injustice and the terror of

Living in such a world as this

Sometimes

We go about our days

No longer watching the news

Too heart-wrenching

And chaotic

We work, we play, and we love

Knowing that somewhere deep

Within us lives a spark of possibility

Hope and Ascension

Peace when there is no peace

Now

Awake

The sun is rising

See the darkness and the light

Witness the truth and the fictions

Believe, believe

We are powerful, not weak

Gathering our sparks together

Proclaiming We are One

Burning out this disease

Cauterizing these spectres

Who work against our human

And divine values of

Compassion and love

Source and Spirit

Their ashes fly up and around

Lifting off from Mother Earth

Released from gravity, a spiral

No magnetism no more

Spewing out of our atmosphere

Journeying beyond

It is Done
