The Magical, Magenta Spring

Initiation

Activation

Floating in the

Magical, magenta spring

The Magdalen sisters

Waiting to receive

Ready to hold and be held

Planning to share the

Ancient Mysteries

The Beatific Blood

The Well of the Womb

The portal into the

Heart of Mother Earth

Flowing upwards into the

Sparkling arms of the Cosmos

Spirits and Souls

Gather together

Announcing the new

Sacred Freedom

Offered to each of us

Healing old wounds

From lifetime after lifetime

Sealing the scars from this

Contemporary life

From the inside out

Mother and Father Spirits

Descend, taking our hands

Leading us to the garden

Lush with color and light

The abundant greenery

Full of hope, life and love

The magical, magenta spring

Sprouting from deep inside

The earth washes us clean

Transforms our bodies and

Connects us with our hearts

Our throats, our breath

So that we can speak

Compassionate freedom

More clearly than

Ever before

Celestial Ceremonies

Sprinkling water on babies' heads, signs of the cross

Dunking people underwater, symbolizing new life

Ceremonies of love

Ceremonies of grief

Mother Nature, baptizing us in wildfires, hurricanes

Shaking herself with earthquakes

Human, bird, insect, reptile, and animal beings, injured, dying, dead

Forests in ashes, new growth already springing forth

Celebrations of transitions from womb to birth

From death to new life

From one way of being to another

From gender to gender

To honor and respect change and growth

Anoint ourselves and each other

Douse us with water or oils

A daily journey through life, transforming, transmuting

Transcendant

A ceremony to end all other ceremonies

Take a breath and relax

Activation takes time, diving downward

Into dark Mother Earth's womb

To feel, to witness all the shadowy parts of

Ourselves, the dark beings in our lives

Get to know and embrace them

Bring them up into the light

A ceremony for accepting all our internal parts

Even those that trouble us

A celestial ceremony

Lifting us up into the Spirit World

Where we are naked

Once more

Queen Dragon Flying

Luminous iridescent wings beating fast

Flying so quickly she bumped her head badly

One moment she was breathing

The next moment she was not

Spontaneously and magically, though stunned

This dazzling dragonfly began her transformation

From complex cells to a community of colonies

A Portuguese Man O’War

Floating on the ocean, wafted by winds

Though gelatinous, still in charge of her kingdom

Part of her community hunted, some gathered

Some digested the nourishment, building strength

Within currents of water, transitioning into

A dragon different than a fly, her sails

Captured wind currents, gliding her along to

An unknown destination

So special, she graced the world with her beauty

Her joy, her deep caring for others, delighting

Children, elders, and all beings on this earth from
Shore to sky to the waters deep

During her metamorphosis, she floated tenderly on

The warming waters of my soul, gazing at

Boats, seagulls, fish, rays, coral and sea fans, all

Dipping into the eternal waters of this life on Mother Earth

Surrendering, she let go, released any and

All struggles, pausing for a moment

Saying goodbye to this life

Then moving on to the next, in time and space

Enjoying the stars, moons, the sun, and

All energetic beings everywhere

Pure peace

The Great Mother

The tides flowed toward the beach

The swollen ocean birthed her onto the sand

Crawling up out of the sea womb

The amphibious, magenta mermaid, rose by

Pulling herself from beyond

Slithering like a snake toward the

Lush old forest

Slimy, silky and sparkling, she slid

Toward the Garden of Eden

Taking time to convince Eve

To take a big bite out of that apple

From the Tree of Life, then she descended

Into the fertile soil

After burying herself in a seed cocoon

She split open, shedding her skin

Changing into a beautiful rose bush

She grew grand and majestic over time

Dark Red Roses

Everyone who saw her marveled

Everyone who smelled her essence

Was filled with Grace and Love

Only catch was, those who touched

Her sometimes got pricked

They came close wondering

Wandering, searching for truth

She offered the sounds of silence

Stillness, slowing down, just being

And their eyes were opened

They gazed at their wounds

The bright red blood flowing, knowing

She had offered them her best gifts

Too bad they had to be pierced

In order to receive

The beautiful red rose bush sponsored

So much joy, so much fragrance

So much beauty to the world

That she was blessed when in the end

Her petals fell to the ground knowing

That she was yet again transforming

Into another life, a new birth

An easy leap from this world

To so many other worlds

Dancing and singing in delight

We have loved this rose bush

We have shared her bountiful harvest

Making our mistakes along the way

Faith resides in all of us, seeing her

As Peace, Grace, and Love

We ask for her forgiveness

We aspire to be like her

We seek to join her in the afterlife

One day, she will bloom again

Whispering softly to us all

Dear Gravity

 Dear Gravity

How I have ignored you most of my life

I learned about you in school

Never thinking much about you

Until now

(I do like that song of yours)

Yes, I have complained about

Your pulling down my facial skin

My bottom and upper arms

I am after all getting older

Saggy, baggy, crepey

Just today during a meditation

Flat on my back

I felt the earth pulsing and

Realized how much I love you

Gravity, always connecting me closely

You keep me attached

Like a magnetized coin

You secure and ground me to

Mother Earth, to my family

Friends and community

Never thought about you much

No need to before now

Thank you for not letting me

Fly around like an autumn leaf

Too often

Uncertain of where I will land

Colorful leaves fall when

Their time is done on trees

My Soul will be gliding and sliding

When I am done here

Scampering around in the Knowing field

Peaceful at last

In My Garden

In my Garden

Bamboo flirts with

Lenten Roses

Hastas and bushes

Scrap for space

Opening eyes clearly

See the elves and fairies

Sprites and trolls

Playing and wrestling

Theater of the mystical

Even green snakes

Dance together around

The Koi Pond

The spiders weave

Throughout time

Lightening bugs

Dragon Flies (or
Dragonflies?)

Crows, Towhees

Hummingbirds, cardinals

The breezes sweep

Through and rain patters

I watch in amazement

Wonder and delight

We are so blessed

I am You are He is

Although I am a biological woman

My spirit is neither male nor female

Neither black nor white nor red

My spirit is a mixture of all that has been

All that will be and all that is

I am a woman and sometimes

A jaguar, sometimes a dog

And sometimes a crow

None of these is my only character

Sometimes I meow and scratch like a cat

Sometimes I shy away like a baby lamb

Other times I roar with the best of the beasts

At other times, I am a baby safe inside a womb

How can I be all these and be my Self?

I peer out of my large, blue eyes

I see myself in the office building and the creek

I notice my urgings seem like ocean tides

I understand my shadows deep within

To be everyone and everywhere

To be not any one particular thing

I bear witness and become

What I see, I hear, I feel

Noticing that I still live in this white skin

While I protest against racial injustices and

Climate change, attempting to help

My brothers, sisters, the winds, the planet

Myself

No, not a god or goddess here

Just part of an expansive whole

Just a tiny part, putting on the clothes

Of the refugee, with the mind of a soldier

I am a dictator and a priest

I am an immigrant and a gun slinger

I ask you to hear me

No wonder you are confused

Because when we meet, we imagine

We are separate and apart, distant

And particular, specific and unique

Not just parts of the same and the other

In this way, I can live and protect

I can yell and pray, I can eat and drink

Knowing whatever I do happens between

The rippling lake and the swan

Complicated, yes, but oh so simple
